I have a vision where all pet owners become experts about their pets and how to care for them in all areas.

Through professional pet grooming advice and education, I aim to help you build confidence in caring for your pet at home.

I offer expert, professional pet grooming services and advise that's easy to understand and apply. I am highly trained and use a science-based approach to pet grooming. An animal’s nutrition plays a major role in coat and skin health, while their anatomy, breed, and behavioral tendencies make each pet's grooming requirements bespoke.

Every pet is different, and their grooming and coat care requirements are unique. All of these areas are taken into consideration and I can provide guidance on them too, building a clearer, more complete understanding of your animal’s health, coat care, and grooming routine.

With a deeper understanding of the theory, I am able to groom pet's to an extremely high, multi award-winning standard. Where both the finish and the pet's welfare are equally important.

It is of up most importance to me the furry animal member are well cared for and happy throughout their grooming experience. We understand you are not just leaving your pet, you are leaving a member of your family.

Here's my short story

Having been grooming for over a decade, starting in 2012 and holding a Full City & Guilds Level 3 dog stylist while also achieving a degree. Tim has won multiple Dog Grooming awards and has been placed first in competitions. Always happy to take on any breed no matter the challenge the dog provides. I pride myself on creating a kind and caring enviroment for our furry friends that is stress free.

Here's the short story

I founded Pro Dog Grooming after working in the Dog Grooming industry for multiple years. I'd always in previous work settlings applied my science approach to salon's I was working in, however, it reached a point where to fully achieve the vison I had it was time to set up a brand where I could fully make it my own.

Where my grooming career started

Back in 2012 I started my dog grooming career, enrolling on my Level 2 City and Guilds Dog Grooming Assistant. This was all about getting all the basics covered, salon hygiene, safe handling, and pet nutrition. Having done this at Plumpton College and completed the course.

I moved on to achieve over 2013 / 2014 my full City and Guilds Pet stylist qualification. I was lucky enough to attend Hadlow College which had some of the best facilities in the country, along with expert tutors. On my Level 3 we covered breed standard show trims for hundreds of different breeds, attended rigorous external examination from the country’s best groomers, which are all certified master groomers (the highest award that any groomer in the UK can achieve and is internationally recognized). The master groomers were meticulous and to achieve my Level 3, I had to perfectly match the breed standards. We also covered in great detail, pet skin health, pet life stage nutrition, parasite management, behavioral management and a range of other topics completing a portfolio of course work and other academic examination. I am one of the only groomers to be fully Level 3 qualified in the Eastbourne area.

My animal history

Having grown up in a home always filled with pets, from fish and hamsters to beloved family dogs, I quickly learned how important animals are as members of the family. Whether it was finding pet-friendly accommodation for holidays or heading out on muddy dog walks, animals have always been at the heart of my life.

My passion for animal care led me to study at Plumpton College in 2009, where I completed a BTEC Level 3 in Animal Management. This comprehensive course covered a wide range of subjects, including animal nursing, ethical breeding, biosecurity, animal welfare, and anatomy. It provided me with a strong foundation in caring for a variety of species, with a particular love for dogs.

I then progressed to Higher Education, earning a degree in Animal Studies, where I developed specialist knowledge through research, scientific study, and advanced animal care practices. Alongside my academic studies, I trained in professional dog grooming, allowing me to combine hands-on grooming skills with a deep understanding of canine health, behaviour, and welfare.

Today, I bring together my qualifications, experience, and lifelong love of animals to provide a calm, caring, and professional dog grooming service. I am dedicated to ensuring every dog feels safe, comfortable, and looks their very best.

How things have developed

At Pro Dog Grooming, dog grooming is more than just a service, it’s a craft refined through years of dedication, training, and professional achievement. With extensive experience working in multiple grooming salons across a range of roles, my journey has been built on mastering both the art and science of dog grooming, along with everything that underpins pet health.

Over the years, I have honed advanced grooming techniques and developed a reputation for precision and excellence. This commitment led to competing in professional dog grooming competitions, where my work earned multiple awards, including first-place finishes. Notably, I was recognised for advanced scissor craftsmanship and awarded for exceptional breed-specific trims, demonstrating a deep understanding of grooming standards across different dog breeds.

My participation in the English Groomers Challenge, a prestigious national competition that recognises top grooming talent, further reflects the dedication to maintaining the highest industry standards, having been placed first prize.

I needed to start my own brand, Pro Dog Grooming, one that is focused on delivering excellance but importantly blending the sciences with the craft of Dog Grooming and all that it entales. Pro Dog Grooming was founded with a clear vision: where all pet owners become experts about their pets and how to care for them in all areas. Part of which is to elevate the grooming experience for both dogs and their owners. I believe that pet owners should feel confident and informed about every aspect of their dog’s care. That’s why I combine expert grooming techniques with knowledge of canine health, coat care, and wellbeing.

Our approach blends professional skill, modern grooming practices, and a passion for animal care. Whether it’s a routine groom, breed-specific styling, or specialist coat work, we are committed to delivering exceptional results tailored to each dog’s individual needs.
